BIOGRAPHY

Elana Morchower is a multi-media artist specializing in relief printing. Morchower is originally from Atlanta, GA in the U.S. and holds a BFA with a double major in Studio Art and Urban Environmental Studies from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham, AL, U.S. They are currently working towards an MFA in Art and Ecology at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland. They draw inspiration from folklore and personal narratives to tell anti-fascist narratives through a queer lens. Morchower is interested in connecting fantasy to reality, and igniting change through world-building. As both an artist and environmentalist, they are passionate about the connection between humans and nature, diving into concepts surrounding gender, sexuality, and ecological systems in their visual art, activism, and poetry.
